Al Qaeda militants in southern Yemen
ABYAN, YEMEN - Arab Today
Al Qaeda militants in southern Yemen seized and executed 15 Yemeni soldiers, sources in the region told Emirates News Agency.
The soldiers were detained by militants while travelling on bus to Talmud district to receive their salaries. The militants took the detained soldiers to a remote area, where they killed them by firing squad, local officials and residents said.
But the sources said the number of soldiers who fell in the ambush could be higher than those killed.
