Arab League Secretary-General, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said at the Annual Arab Banking Conference that "our people deserve to hear good news, not just the news of terrorism and the scenes of destruction surrounding us."
"I do not think the Arabs' capabilities are any less than those of ancient peoples," he said.
"The cost of destruction that broke out since 2011 has exceeded $640 billion," he said, stressing that "Arab cities will be built only by Arabs. The goal of what happened to us was the alteration of history and the end of the Arab memory."
