
New Valley Governor Mahmoud Ashmawy said that the project of the 1.5 feddans is a great venture that serves all Egypt and not his governorate only.
It contributes to creating new urban and agricultural communities, the matter which will increase investments in various fields.
These remarks came on the sidelines of the visit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to New Farafra area where the go-ahead was given to the harvest season of wheat in Sahel el Berka region on an area of 7,000 feddans, 550 feddans of barley and 2,500 feddans of vegetables.
The governor underlined also that this national project provides a core for a new Egyptian countryside, pointing out to establishing rural villages that include 2,000 rural houses and 480 housing units as part of the first stage.
