A horrific road accident on the Riyadh-Qassim Highway
Jeddah - Arab Today

A horrific road accident on the Riyadh-Qassim Highway claimed the lives of 12 expatriates on Monday.
The accident took place just before iftar, according to report in an online publication. Such was the impact of the head-on collision between a bus and a truck that the two vehicles caught fire. Many of the victims were burned beyond recognition. Nearly 35 people have been injured, all of them expats.
Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar has ordered immediate help to the injured. “He is personally monitoring the rescue operations,” said the report. Health authorities have announced a state of emergency in Riyadh hospitals.
