The Zayed Giving Initiative has enhanced its volunteer programmes in the African continent through the Emirates Mobile Volunteer Hospital and in partnership with the Saudi- German Hospital and Dar Al Ber Society.

These programmes coincide with the humanitarian tasks of the Global Humanitarian Giving campaign, which was able to reach with its humanitarian mission to three million children and elderly with the participation of thousands of volunteers from various countries around the world.

This comes in line with the humanitarian spirit of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and based on the directives of our wise leadership to intensify a culture of volunteering and humanitarian work and social cohesion both locally and internationally, regardless of color,religion or race.

The humanitarian and volunteering initiatives were implemented within the framework of the one million volunteer campaign launched in advance in order to consolidate a culture of volunteering work and humanitarian giving and activating the partnership between individuals and institutions and encourage them to adopt voluntary and community initiatives that contribute to sustainable social and economic development.

The Zayed Giving Initiative's volunteers from around the world achieved more than a million volunteered hours in neighborhoods in various villages in Kenya, Somalia, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan, Morocco, Egypt, Pakistan, Nepal, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Indonesia in partnership with the voluntary and humanitarian work centers.

These programmes were aimed to empower young generation of volunteer and humanitarian work with the participation of hundreds of volunteers from around the world to implement a variety of community programmes in health, education and cultural fields over the past years, which contributed to the implementation of the Initiative's programmes to the fullest and the delivery of various services to different segments of society.

The Zayed Giving Initiative has decided to strengthen the work of the its volunteer teams in various health, educational and cultural fields and intensified the humanitarian tasks in the African continent in order to spread a culture of volunteering and youth empowerment in the field of community service.
