US Senate OKs bill letting families of 9/11 victims sue other countries

The US Senate on Tuesday approved a legislation allowing families of Sept. 11 victims to sue foreign governments defying a White House veto threat as well as brazen threats of economic retaliation.
The Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA) now moves to the House of Representatives.
President Barack Obama said he'll veto the bill, but a Democratic Senator is "confident" he'd be overruled.
