The United States said it is concerned about reports of the use of force to seize the offices of Libya's U.N.-backed National Accord government in the capital, Tripoli.
The foreign ministry demanded, in a statement, all Libyan parties to work together to bring security, prosperity and freedom to the nation, ABC network reported.
Armed forces stormed "Rixos" hotel, that houses the government's state council assembly and a TV station in downtown Tripoli on Friday evening, and issued a statement describing what happened as "a historical initiative to rescue Libya".
