Dr. Saeed Mohammed Ali Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Ireland, has said the UAE - Irish relations have witnessed a remarkable development in various fields, thanks to continued support from the leaders of the two countries.

He noted that the relations between both countries and peoples were being also enhanced at the parliamentary level. He cited the visit of the delegation of the Federal National Council, FNC, which has been marked with meetings and talks with senior Irish government officials and parliamentarians.

This came in a speech delivered by Dr. Al Shamsi during the dinner hosted by the UAE Embassy in Ireland in honour of the FNC delegation on an official visit to the Republic of Ireland. The delegation is led by Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the FNC. The event was also attended by a number of officials and members of the House of Representatives of Ireland.

On the FNC side it was attended by Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Zaabi, Second Deputy Speaker of the FNC, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Mahrazi, Dr. Saeed Abdullah Al Mutawa, Azza Sulaiman bin Suleiman, and Saeed Saleh Al Rumaithi, Hamad bin Ghulaita Al Ghafli.

Ambassador Al Shamsi welcomed Dr. Al Qubaisi and her entourage, and praised the efforts of the FNC for its parliamentary diplomacy, which strengthens relations with the peoples, nations and the world parliaments.
