Arab Today, arab today UAE backs position of 11 countries in G20 on Syria

Dubai - KUNA
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Monday extended its support to resolutions of the 11 countries that attended the G20 summit in Russia. The UAE fully supports Saudi Arabia's position during the G20 meetings that were held in St. Petersburg, foreign minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nuhayyan said in a statement, reported by UAE news agency (WAM). The G20 summit was meant to discuss economic cooperation among member countries, but the Syrian file dominated the discussions and 11 countries supported the US desire to launch a military strike against Syria. The US said Syria had crossed the red line when it allegedly used chemical weapons against its own people.
