Syrians in Venezuela reiterate support for army

Syrian citizens from many areas participated in the Sunday event in addition to several Venezuelan parties and organizations, SANA reported. The festival started with the Syrian anthem before the participants observed a minute of silence in honor of the Syrian army's martyrs. The participants stressed their solidarity with Syria in the face of the global war against it, expressing gratitude to the sacrifices made by the Syrian army to defend the country. They denounced the scheme plotted and led by the USA with the involvement of many western and regional countries, adding that this war aims at destabilizing the country and fragmenting it as to serve the interests of the Israeli Entity. Syria's Ambassador in Venezuela, Ghassan Abbas, highlighted the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army and stressed the importance of the participation of the Syrian community in Venezuela in supporting the Syrian currency.
