A total of 1,242 people were killed across Syria since the beginning of Ramadan in operations staged by the Syrian regime forces. Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, said among the dead were 107 children and 100 women. SNHR said 442 people from the opposition were killed in clashes alongside 100 others under torture. Stating that the Syrian regime didn't accept ceasefire during the holy month of Ramadan, SNHR said the highest number of civilian casualties occurred in capital Damascus, followed by Aleppo, Idlib and Daraa. Syrians lived a humanitarian tragedy as regime forces prohibited entrance of basic necessities in the regions where the opposition lived.
