Syrian army advances in Lattakia, kills terrorists in several areas

The Syrian army troops chased and killed a large number of militants in Lattakia countryside, and brought al-Nabi Ashi'a Mount and the adjacent areas under full government control, an official source said Monday. The source said that the army destroyed terrorists' last gatherings and killed scores of terrorists. The source pointed out that the army units also dismantled explosive devices and seized the terrorists' weapons. Units of the armed forces on Sunday restored security and stability to the villages of al-Hamushieh, al-Ballouta, al-Shiekh Nibhan, al-Khrata, al-Khanzourieh, Barodeh and  Jabal al-Sha'ban in Lattakia countryside. In the meantime, the source added, other army units inflicted heavy losses upon terrorist groups that were perpetrating acts of killing, theft and road blocking on Hayyan-al-Miselmiyeh road. The source noted that members of a terrorist group were killed near the crossroad of Bayanoun village and destroyed their heavy machineguns, other weapons and ammunition. An army unit confiscated a sophisticated satellite transmitter in a terrorists' den in Saif al-Dawleh in Aleppo city which was used to communicate with the channels involved in shedding the Syrian blood. Earlier last night, army units foiled an infiltration attempt by al-Nusra Front terrorists to Salah-Eddin area, killing or injuring them. Army eliminates terrorists, destroys their weapons in Hasaka A unit of the armed forces confronted terrorists' attack on military checkpoints in al-Nashwa and Doulab Assi neighborhoods, Hasaka city, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists. An official source said that the army killed a large number of terrorists, injured others and destroyed their weapons, including heavy machineguns and automatic rifles. The source added that another army unit destroyed terrorists' hideouts in al-Madajin, al-Sad al-Gharbi and Allaif Stone complex in Hasaka countryside, killing all the terrorists inside them.
