President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir emphasized that Strategic Cooperation Agreement  signed between Sudan and Turkey  covers  all aspects of cooperation  and  places  huge responsibility  on officials  in the two countries.

 

 The President indicated during meeting at Guest House with Turkish  delegation  led by Turkish Minister of Agriculture , Bekir Pakdemirli  that  cooperation between Sudan and Turkey  serves  interest of the two nations.

 He said that Sudan with its tremendous resources  is  in need of Turkish expertise and  technologies , referring to importance of investment in areas of agriculture, oil and mining.

 

 Minister of Agriculture of Turkey, for his part, said in a press statement  that Sudan and Turkey signed a $100 million-agreement  for  investment in oil in addition to other agreements  in fields of agriculture  and animal resources  and agreement on facilitation of bank transfers  to increase volume of exchange of trade which stands at $481 million.

 

He affirmed that the meeting discussed all issues pertinent to cooperation between the two countries  and issues of common interest within framework of  the last visit of President of Turkey to Sudan, pointing  out that  all outstanding issues  in this connection have been overcome.
