Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, met in Rome today with his Italian counterpart Emma Bonino as part of celebrating the 80 anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Italy. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, ways of enhancing them in all fields and exchanged view points towards a number of issues. The two ministers tackled a number of Middle Eastern issues, led by the Syrian crisis. In a joint press conference following the meeting, Prince Saud Al-Faisal and Bonino expressed concern over what is happening in Syria, demanding the world community to put a quick solution to the blood bleeding in Syria and salvage Syria from being destroyed. For his part, Prince Saud Al-Faisal drew the attention to the fact that the events held in Rome to mark this occasion reflect the keenness of the two sides at the official and social levels to further promote these relations to wider potentials, noting his satisfaction over the fruitful and constructive talks he had earlier today with the Italian Foreign Minister.
