
Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Elizabeth II on the birth of her great-grandson. He wished the newborn, Duchess of Cambridge Katherine and all members of the British Royal Family strong health. This was reported by the Kremlin press service on Tuesday. Great Britain is celebrating arrival of the Prince of Cambridge, who was born on Monday. This is the fourth generation of the reigning Windsor dynasty. Queen Elizabeth II, 87, became great-grandmother for the third time. The first child of Elizabeth’s grandson became third in line to the throne, following his grandfather Prince Charles of Wales and his father, the Duke of Cambridge. The newborn moved to the fourth position his uncle Prince Harry, the younger brother of Prince William. British politicians, U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, as well as Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd congratulated Duchess of Cambridge Katherine and Prince William on the birth of their first child.
