President Hadi meets Amran, Saada, Hajjah's personages

President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Saturday with sheikhs and personages from Amran, Hajjah and Sa'ada governorates. During the meeting, the President talked about the problems Yemen has suffered from during 2000 – 2011, topped by the six wars of Sa'ada and the Southern Movement, in addition to many mistakes that – he said – were repeated over and over at the expense of the country's security, stability and development. The 2011 crisis was erupted due to many consecutive impasses. Sa'ada war begun in 2004 and was the worst, Hadi said, adding "The army was involved in this war that impacted badly on the army's strength, status and prestige." Concerning the Southern Movement, he said that it began in 2007 with peaceful demands and as a result of foreign and regional interventions linked to Iran, some of its factions turned to violence. "Today, Yemen is at an important historical juncture … either it ends its crisis by a full success of the dialogue or goes, Allah forbid, to an ominous maze," Hadi said. The President also reviewed several issues that brought Yemen to the crisis, which have left tragedies and disasters at the security, political, economic and development fields, as well as the procedures and actions that have been carried out since the signing of the Gulf initiative.
