Par'lt speaker, Chinese official discuss bilateral ties

Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal discussed on Thursday with Wang Jiarui, the elected vice-chairperson of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People´s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) bilateral relations, especially at the parliamentary level.

Abdel Aal stressed Egypt and China have historic relations, saying talks tackled different ways which could allow Egypt to benefit from the development experiment in China, according to a statement by the parliament on Thursday. 

The speaker highlighted the necessity of uplifting the Chinese investments in Egypt.

He probed with the Chinese official bilateral cooperation in combating terrorism and military cooperation.

For his part, the Chinese official said relations between the two countries are based on mutual respect along with joint understanding regarding several issues.
