House speaker: NGOs law meets requirements of civil society, national security

Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal has said that a bill on NGOs meets the needs of civil society organizations, as well as national security requirements.
Parliament has responded to most of the demands of the NGOs while taking into consideration remarks by the State Council, Abdel Aal said Tuesday.
NGOs secure some 60 billion pounds worth of aid and services offered to citizens, he made it clear.
He reminded that the UN Charter clearly rejects interference in the domestic affairs of countries and that diplomacy laws oblige diplomats to respect the sovereignty of countries in which they are serving.
