
Muslim Brotherhood has strongly condemned the terrorist attack committed in Al-Mansoura north of the Egyptian capital overnight to Wednesday. According to recent reports, the explosion at police headquarters killed a law enforcement officer - he died of wounds in hospital, and 18 people were injured. One of the leaders of the Islamist movement, Essam el-Erian, stated in the Facebook social network that the “association opposes all forms of violence, no matter from where it may come.” “Our revolution, and all our activities are peaceful, and no one will ever be able to drag us into violence,” he said. Meanwhile, Egyptian interim president’s media adviser Ahmed al-Muslimani said that this terrorist attack “will not affect the determination of the authorities.” “Egypt has already won a victory over terrorism in the past and today will also win,” he said. According to the Interior Ministry, an unknown perpetrator hurled the explosive device at the law enforcers from an adjacent building. There are six civilians among those 18 injured, three people are in critical condition. Three vehicles burnt as a result of the explosion. Following this attack, the entire personnel of police stations and prisons of the city were put on high alert.
