Cairo - Itar-Tass

Libya’s government is doing everything possible to prevent new attacks on embassies of foreign countries, the Libyan Foreign Ministry said in a statement due to the attack on the Russian Embassy in Tripoli. The Libyan government “expresses regret at the attack” and hopes that it “has no impact on relations with Russia”, the statement says. “We note the high level of interaction between law enforcement agencies and the population that made it possible to protect the Russian Embassy and prevent a new attack,” the statement says. LANA News Agency reported that the Libyan Interior Ministry had decreed to work out a plan of joint actions to ensure security of the Russian Embassy in Tripoli.
