Kuwait's ambassador to Austria submits credentials

Newly-appointed Kuwaiti Ambassador to Austria Sadeq Marafie submitted his credentials to Austrian President, Heinz Fischer, on Wednesday. Marafie told KUNA after the ceremony that he conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Fischer wishing him the best of health and more prosperity for Austria. During the ceremony, Marafie praised the distinguished ties between Kuwait with Austria, and asserted the need for more consolidsation of cooperation in the economic, industrial, trade and energy spheres. Marafie also hailed Austria's supportive stances towards the State of Kuwait as well as towards Arab issues. He also extolled Austria's positions adopted during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. For his part, Fischer hailed the deep-rooted ties between his country and Kuwait, recalling the warm welcome extended to him during his recent visit to Kuwait. He said that he looks forward to HH the Amir's visit to Austria in the near future
