The Israeli army said it would investigate video footage showing a soldier slapping and kicking a Palestinian boy in Hebron during the weekend. The International Solidarity Movement uploaded a video on YouTube Sunday showing three soldiers surrounded by several Palestinian children in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood in Hebron. The video footage of the incident Saturday shows soldiers pushing away one of the Palestinian children while another soldier grabs the 12-year-old Palestinian boy by the ear and kicks him in the leg. The boy briefly grasps his leg. The soldiers are then seen running off down the road in apparent pursuit. It was unclear from the footage what led to the incident and the soldier's behavior. The army condemned the soldier's behavior and said it would investigate the incident, Channel 10 reported. Founded in 2001, The International Solidarity Movement is a Palestinian-led group committed to supporting and strengthening the Palestinian popular resistance and documenting Israel's occupation of Palestinian lands, the movement statement says.
