
A number of GCC Foreign Ministers and officials, including Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, met late Thursday with their Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida. Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), GCC Secretary General Dr. Abullatif Al-Zayani said that the meeting, held on the sideline of the 68th UN General Assembly, reviewed the relations between the GCC states and Japan and means to develop ties and joint ventures. The meeting also touched on the 2013-16 cooperation plan between Japan and the GCC, said Al-Zayani, adding that previous agreements with Japan and means to develop strategic dialogue were also discussed.
