
The China-Arab States Expo will make the relation between China and Arab nations closer, Kuwaiti Ambassador to China Mohammad Saleh Althuwaikh said Monday. He made this comment during an interview with Xinhuanet at the sideline of Kuwait-China Cooperation Forum and Project Matchmaking Conference held in Yinchuan, the capital city of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. "We would like this activity make both sides understand each other and be closer to each other. We can solve any problems through the way of our cooperations," he said. He said companies from both Kuwait and China "need to find something new" in their cooperations, as a lot of benefits were provided by the expo. He also said he was impressed by the good organization of the expo and the "lovely smiles" of the people here. The Kuwait-China Cooperation Forum and Project Matchmaking Conference is an important part of the first China-Arab State Expo, which kicked off here on Sunday. Kuwait has been invited as the guest country of honor at the expo. According to the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Kuwait has invested 887 million U.S. dollars in 35 projects in China during the past 30 years, which included road, airport, port and railway construction, and covered fields of environment, education and hospitals. China has become an important trading partner of Kuwait, and the two sides saw rapid increase in trade,which totaled 12.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2012.
