Egypt is closely following up the consequences of the Congress' override of US President Barack Obama veto on a bill that allows legal action against Saudi Arabia over the 9/11 attacks, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Thursday.
Ahmed Abu Zeid said Egypt is convinced that Obama's veto against the bill conforms with international legal regulations.
The Senate voted 97-1 to override the president's veto, while the House voted to override by a large margin: 348-77 and one present vote.
