California wildfire grows to 1500 acres, threatens homes, buildings

A California wildfire has grown to 1,500 acres and is threatening homes and buildings in and around the Cleveland National Forest, authorities said. The U.S. Forest Service ordered mandatory evacuations for three communities: Lakeland Village, Decker Canyon and Rancho Capistrano. More than 250 fire personnel are on the scene, and an evacuation center has been set up at a local high school, the Los Angeles Times said. The fire started in the Lake Elsinore area Monday morning at 10 a.m., Inciweb.org reported.
