Britain affirms continuous support to Yemen

British Foreign Office Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt affirmed on Monday his country's continuous support to Yemen, specifically during "this fateful period of the political transition stage." Britain will support Yemen economically and humanely through providing a developmental program during the next three years, worth USD 300 million, as well as supporting anti-terrorism and Al-Qaeda in Yemen, Burt stated while being received by President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi. He expressed his aspiration in taking part in the Friends of Yemen meeting, to be held in New York this month, noting that this meeting would reveal seriousness of tangible developments in Yemen, specifically concerning political and economic reformation.
