
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has highlighted the importance of dialogue on regional issues that should be prioritised regionally and globally, noting that conflicts and tensions undermine regional stability and impede the development march, calling for the need to resolve pending issues and adopt united stances at international gatherings in order to promote regional security and stability. This came as HRH Premier received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the outgoing Turkish Ambassador to Bahrain Ahmet Ulker. HRH Premier affirmed Bahrain's support for all efforts aiming to strengthen ties with friendly Turkey in order to upgrade bilateral trade, economic and tourism cooperation, noting that the current regional situation requires countries of the region to step up cooperation among them so as to be able to overcome the challenges facing them. In this regard, HRH Prime Minister stressed the importance of bolstering Bahraini-Turkish cooperation in various fields and broadening its horizons. The Prime Minister lauded the role played by Ambassador Ulker in enhancing bilateral ties and cooperation, wishing him every success in his future assignments. He also requested him to convey his greetings to the Turkish President Abdullah Gül and Prime Minister Rejab Tayyeb Erdogan. The Turkish Ambassador asserted that HRH Premier is among the greatest political leaders in the world, given the landmark achievements the government has attained thanks to his wisdom and sound policies. He also expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Government of Bahrain, led by HRH Premier, for the facilities and support accorded to him during his tenure in Bahrain.
