Syrian President Bashar al Assad said on Thursday that Damascus positively looks to the improvement of ties between Moscow and Ankara in the recent period, Russia Today reported.
In statements to Russian media outlets, Assad said that his country's only hope was that a rapprochement between Russia and Turkey would allow Moscow to change the Turkish leadership stance towards Syria.
Assad hoped that Russia is able to bring about some changes in Turkish politics.
