Al-Jarwan discusses Arab Parliament's role with al-Tayeb

The President of the Arab Parliament, Ali Mohammed Al Jarwan, has met the Grand Imam of Egypt's Al Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb. In his remarks at the meeting, Al-Jarwan underscored the high stature of Al Azhar for the Arab Nation and the Islamic Nation. He praised the role of Al Tayeb in backing and promoting the causes of Islam and its tolerance, as well as his role in resolving the crisis in Egypt and efforts for achieving unity and stability. For his part, Al -Tayeb expressed satisfaction with the role of the pan-Arab Parliament in countering the challenges facing the Arab Nation and in working towards uniting stances of Arab countries. He thanked Al-Jarwan for his defense of the sacrosanctity of Al Azhar and its figures. Al-Tayeb urged the Arab Parliament to focus its efforts on unifying the curricula of basic education in Arab countries for subjects such as Arabic language, history, religion, and Islamic education.
