
Nine Iraqis were killed and 26 injured on Friday when an improvised explosive devices exploded near two mosques after Friday prayers in Baghdad. Police source told KUNA that the "two bombs exploded at the Shanshal Mosque gate in western Jihad area, west of Baghdad, killing four civilians and wounding 12 others, all of whom are civilians." In southern Dora area, the source added five Iraqis were killed and 14 others injured after three bombs exploded near Al-Tawhid Mosque. The bombings came a day after one of a series of bombings targeting popular markets in Baghdad and the violence has killed more than 30 people and injured around 100 others.
