The second Mistral-class helicopter carrier "Mohamed Anwar El Sadat" arrived in the Egyptian territorial waters on Thursday.
The helicopter carrier's arrival coincides with celebrations of the 43rd anniversary of the October 6 war victory.
On June 23, a Mistral-class helicopter carrier, named after late Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser, arrived in the seaport city of Alexandria.
In October 2015, Egypt and France signed a deal to purchase two Mistral-class helicopter carriers during French Prime Minister Manuel Valls's visit to Egypt.
On June 2, France handed over to Egypt the first Mistral-class helicopter carrier.
The Armed Forces' Department of Morale Affairs has cooperated with all media outlets to broadcast live the arrival of Mistral-class helicopter carrier "Anwar El Sadat" after its entrance of the Egyptian territorial waters and arrival at Alexandria port.
This falls within Egypt's celebrations of the 43rd anniversary of the October 6 war victory.
This is the second carrier that Egypt receives from France in less than a year after the first Mistral helicopter carrier named after late president Gamal Abdel Nasser landed in Alexandria in June.
