
One soldier with the NATO-led coalition forces was killed Tuesday in attack in eastern Afghanistan, the coalition forces confirmed. "An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service member died following an enemies of Afghanistan direct fire attack in eastern Afghanistan today," the ISAF said in a statement. The statement did not disclose the nationality of the slain soldier, saying "it is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities," Troops mostly from the United States are stationed in eastern Afghan provinces. The latest casualty has brought to 115 the number of foreign soldiers killed in Afghanistan this year.
