Amman - Arabstoday

Embassy of the United States in Amman released a statement today asking their American citizens in Amman to be extremely cautious after the announcement of ‘Tawjihi’ (Baccalaureate) results tomorrow; as there will be heavy traffic and live firing as part of the celebrations. The Embassy said that Jordanian students and their families celebrate all over the country by driving their cars fast through the cities while beeping their horns and causing many accidents. They added that American citizens should avoid largely crowded areas or remain in their homes. In addition, they reminded their citizens to join the Smart Traveler Program online so that the Embassy will have easy access to their details in case they needed to get in touch with them in case of an emergency.
