Tunisian soldier killed in clash with armed group

A team of border guards and Tunisian army soldiers were subject to an attack on Monday evening by an armed group of four who were trying to cross the borders between Tunisia and Algeria. Tunisian news network said that violent clashes between Tunisian troops and the armed group, allegedly affiliated to al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, resulted in the killing of Anis Jelassi, an agent in the wire guard. Two Tunisian soldiers were wounded. Tunisian security sources affirmed that the region's terrain is difficult given the intensity of its forests. The Tunisian army were backed with other forces and the attackers were completely trapped under the control of a helicopter, while the clashes kept going between the two sides .
