Tantawi calls for Clinging to the Armed Forces

The head of Egypt's ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF), Hussein Tantawi called all the Egyptian to cling to the Armed Forces, in order to transcend this critical stage Egypt is passing through, stressing that neither him nor the Armed Forces as a whole will allow anybody to hinder the Egyptian people's move to democracy. He said during the celebration of the end of the preparation and training period of the Military Academy students, Sunday, "gain Confidence in yourselves, in Egypt and in the Armed Forces which have never abandoned this nation nor this country". He added that "Egypt will remain strong, and although there are some negative aspects of some close minded people, these negative aspects just indicates lack of awareness, but not betrayal of the homeland", that's due to his confidence that there is no Egyptian betraying his homeland. In addition, Tantawi called Egyptians not to listen to the rumors of the procedures being taken against the nation.
