Cairo - Akram Ali

The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the armed forces of Egypt, Mosheer Mohammed Hussain Tantawi, said that the current security conditions in Egypt have pushed to reactivate the emergency law. Tantawi said on Monday that: “none of us wants to activate the state of emergency, but  the current security conditions in Egypt  led us to reactivate it, no one believes that a woman would be kidnapped while she was with husband in the street.” ‘Asharq Alawsat’  news agency quoted  Tantawi, saying that "a state of emergency will end as soon as possible, if  the security situation stabilizes, and this requires immense efforts by  people and the security forces to achieve stability and security."
