Damascus - George Al Shami
A large number of Syrians have expressed their sympathy with South Africa's former leader, Nelson Mandela, who strongly struggled against racial discrimination in his country. Demonstrators raised a banner in the Syrian town of Hass, reading: “Nelson Mandela, we hope to take all your pain with us. God bless you.” The African prominent leader is currently suffering from deteriorating health conditions, pushing many leaders around the world to express sympathy and condolences with the man who managed to eliminate racial discrimination in his country. Residents of Hass and Kfar Nobel focused on addressing the international community by raising English banners. The same demonstrators raised a banner in April to express their solidarity with victims of  America's Boston bombings.
