Suez - Yosry Mohamed

Officials from the the village of Pilgims, in Egypt's north-eastern governorate of Suez have ordered Syrian refugees and their families to leave the area upon the orders of Suez Governor Samir Aglan. The decision was made after the refugees protested against the speech made by Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi in support of the Syrian revolution. The representative of Syrian refugees in Suez, Mohamed al-Sufi, commonly known as Abu-Tarik, said that security forces told them to leave the governorate upon the orders of the governor after they had mocked the Egyptian president's speech on Facebook. Abi-Tarik explained that the Syrian refugees had criticised President Morsi's support for foreign intervention in Syria, adding that such an intervention would only make matters worse. Abu-Tarik accused the Egyptian officials of using heavy-handed tactics to remove the refugees. The Syrian activist called on the Egyptian president to "stop trading with the blood of the Syrian people," adding that President Morsi must protect himself and his people before looking elsewhere. Abu-Tarik claimed that the Egyptian head of state doesn't understand the problems faced by the Syrian people, and urged him to leave the Syrians to sort out their own internal issues.
