Cairo - Akram Ali

Egypt’s Shura Council started its parliamentary round number 33, as Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi issued a presidential decree to call the council for holding its sessions. The President decided to appoint 90 members to complete its formation. According to the new constitution, the legislative power would transfer to the Shura Council that would keep the authority of legislation until holding the coming parliamentary elections. The council is scheduled to discuss a number of critical issues, including the law of the parliamentary elections, Islamic bonds law, organising law of demonstrations and insurances law. The new members would be sworn-in during the session on Wednesday, while the council would form its committees. Speaker of the Council Ahmed Fahmy is scheduled to deliver a speech to determine the agenda of the council during the coming period
