U.S. Ambassador in Cairo, Anne Patterson,  said that: "The the quick adjust to democracy helps  promoting stability, but achieving it, only  depends on the Egyptians themselves in all their categories, and we support this process in any way we can." The U.S.ambassador regarding the support to organizations in Egypt: "It is not secret that we support these institutions’ registered in Egypt, under the umbrella of the Egyptian government, but America didn’t fund and will not fund any political parties in Egypt, own, because we try to support civil society and not the political, and who works in a variety of areas including agriculture.” regarding the American spy, "Ilan Chaim," Patterson said: "There are many rumors  addressed in some newspapers about the existence of a deal, and in that regard, what the Minister of Defense, Leon Panetta, said  during his visit to Egypt recently that" the release of Ilan should be according to the Egyptian legal system, and there are no deals. " President Barack Obama has appointed Anne Patterson, the former U.S. Ambassador in Pakistan, to the post of Ambassador to the United States in Cairo, replacing Margaret Scobey. Choosing  Patterson - one of the most experienced members of the diplomatic corps in the U.S. – directs a strong message to Cairo, also stresses on  the American interest to strengthen the relations with Egypt .
