Ramallah - Mona Kandil
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas stressed Palestinian's keenness in the security ?and stability of Egypt. The leader affirmed his hope for the revolution to "achieve its goals." He insisted on the continuity of ?Egypt’s leading role, especially in these "critical" circumstances.? Abbas statement came as he received the Egyptian Ambassador to Palestine Yasser Othman in ?the presidential premises in Ramallah Monday evening. Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that after the Egyptian ambassador’s return from ?Cairo, he informed the Palestinian president about developments in Egypt, and showed his ?appreciation of Palestine's support. Abbas asked about the situation in Egypt, and expressed his and all Palestinians’ wishes ?to Egypt for security and wealth. Palestinian president earlier congratulated his Egyptian counterpart Adly Mansour for ?being assigned as Interim President, praising the role of the Egyptian Armed Forces - led by the ?Minister of Defence Ahmed Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi - in preserving Egypt’s security and protecting it ?from slipping to an unknown destiny. He appreciated the role of the Egyptian people with all its ?different segments and adopting a roadmap for its future in this critical period. ?
