Pakistan arrests a Dr for helping U.S to kill Ben laden

The Special Committee set up by the Pakistani authorities to investigate the U.S. raid that killed Osama bin Laden, announced that a doctor has helped the “CIA” in determining bin Laden’s whereabouts, should be put on trial for high treason The committee accused the doctor, Shakeel Afridi, of running a phoney vaccination programme for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), to help track down Osama bin Laden. Shakil Afridi, who is currently in the custody of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency, reportedly ran a fake polio vaccination drive on behalf of the CIA in a bid to obtain DNA samples of bin Laden‘s family in Abbottabad, months before the then Al Qaeda chief was killed by US Navy Seals on May 2.  The committee said after questioning the doctor Afridi that he might face ‘high treason charges’. Washington has urged Pakistan to release the Pakistani doctor and allow him to move to live in the United States.  A government commission headed by former judge of the Supreme Court was appointed to shows how U.S. forces were able to do that raid deep into the Pakistani territory without being detected. The Commission is also investigating how bin laden managed to hide in the city of Abbottabad for several years.
