Cairo – Akram Ali
The Egyptian National Council for Human Rights has concluded that there is no need to transfer former president Hosni Mubarak from Tora prison hospital, as it was earlier demanded by his son Gamal Mubarak. Human rights officials inspected Mubarak's room in the prison hospital and said it had "16 new pieces of equipment that monitor his vital body functions like oxygen, blood pressure, and diabetic condition". The report added that the hospital includes an intensive care room for the former president, in addition to the presence of a resident physician while external doctors could also be called there at any time. The most recommendation of the report is that any prisoner in an emergency case is allowed to be immediately transferred to hospital without waiting Attorny General Permission or sticking to the prison medical report, or doctors called from outside, as this case is applied on any prisoner including Mubarak. The report will be raised to the deputy of Egyptian human rights council Mohamed Faek, the General Attorney Abdel Meguid Mahmoud, minister of justice Ahmed Meky, and head of Shura council Ahmed Fahmy. Gamal Mubarak had complained to the NCHR, recommending the transfer of his father to another hospital due to his "deteriorating health".
