Jerusalem – Nassir Al-Asaad

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed Wednesday his willingness to hold talks with the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to revive the peace process as soon as possible, without any preconditions. During his two-day visit to the Netherlands, where he met his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte, and Queen Beatrix, Netanyahu stressed his refusal to compromise on Israeli security. On the other hand, the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas said on Monday that “Israel didn’t make any efforts in favor of the peace process, stressing “Palestinian Authority will not return to direct talks unless Israel agrees to full settlement freeze, and accepts the principle of the two-state solution based on 1967 borders.”
