Casablanca – Youssra Moustafa
Morocco could soon be getting a new German submarine to complete its marine fleet, a source said. The source revealed that the submarine in question is one of the most powerful in the world. If the deal is concluded, Morocco will be the third Arab country to acquire this type of military equipment after Egypt and Algeria. This comes following a decision from Germany to give up the conditions it set up for the deal after the country was taken over by the US and Russia in foreign military sells. The submarine has the capability of carrying nuclear heads and 14 torpedoes, it can be independent for 50 days at sea and it can go up to 300 metres deep.  The submarine would cost around $500 million.
