Libyan Prime Minister calls for tri-nation summit

In a press conference held with his Tunisian counterpart Hamadi Jebali on Monday, Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan called for a triple nation summit between the Libyan Prime Minister and his Tunisian and Algerian counterparts, in the Libyan town of Ghadames. Zeidan said that the aim of this summit will be to discuss the issues of border security, terrorism and arms smuggling. The Prime Minister also announced that mutual agreement between Tunis and Libya in the economic field, training, health and education will be signed. The work in Ras Aljadir border crossing resumed, on Monday evening, pursuant to the decision taken by the Tunisian Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali and his Libyan counterpart Ali Zeidan. In a related context, sources told Arabstoday that the former Libyan president of the National Transitional Council, Mustafa Abdul Jalil arrived in Tunisia on Monday night, at the invitation of the Tunisian President Mohamed Moncef Marzouki. The controversial visit took place despite a decision issued by the Libyan military court preventing Jalil from travelling after an investigation into the assassination of former Libyan army commander Major General Abdel-Fattah Younis.
