Nine people from the Iraqi army have been reported dead, including two officers and eight wounded in a double attack on Saturday.   A source in the fourth group belonging to the Iraqi army said: “Unknown armed people attacked a barrack belonging to the Iraqi army in eastern Qadaa Dujail,  120 km southern Tikrit. They opened their silent weapons on soldiers and killed four of them.” The source told Arabstoday: “The armed people left the explosive devices in the place and when security forces reached the barrack it exploded and killed five of them including 2 officers. The first one is a Major and the otheris a Lieutenant and eight soldiers were wounded.” The source, who wished to remain anonymous, said that military forces then came to the place of incident and closed it off in order to remove dead bodies and the wounded.
