
Iraq's Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari discussed Monday with Managing Director for the EU Middle East and Southern Neighborhood Hugues Mingarelli and European Union Ambassador Jana hibashkova in Baghdad means of boosting bilateral relations. They agreed on strengthening cooperation, especially in the political and security domains and fighting terrorism, along with discussing human rights issues. The delegation highly appreciated the role of Iraq in the Syrian refugee crisis, affirming their willingness to provide assistance in this area, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in a statement. The two sides reviewed the relations with the European Union in accordance with the agreement on cooperation and partnership, signed by Iraq with the Union last year, the statement added.
