Imam assassinated in Damascus

A group of gunmen assassinated Anas Bin Malik mosque’s Imam Sheikh Mohammed Ahmed Aouf Sadiq in Damascus on Wednesday evening, the Syrian News Agency SANA reported. According to SANA, a group of gunmen followed Sheikh Sadiq and shot him dead in Qadam Assali's area in Damascus. This is the first accident targeting religious figures since the beginning of Syrian 11-month uprising.
